Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch have welcomed their first child to the world, a little girl whose name they have not yet chosen.

The child is reported to have weighed 7lb 9oz and a spokesman for the couple said: "They're thrilled. Mother and baby are doing fine."

Spurs striker Peter is believed to have been by Abbey's side as she gave birth.


The Daily Mail quoted a friend as saying: "Abbey and Peter are over the moon. They haven't picked a name yet, but they are completely in love with her."

Peter was revealed to have cheated with a sex worker called Monica Mint while on a stag trip in Madrid last year, and there were several subsequent claims of further sex-pestery.

The Sun quoted a "friend" as saying: "They hope the baby will help them move on. Peter knows he was an idiot, but they're a very solid couple now."
